The Trombonists
Brassroots is comprised of four very musically-talented men. Each individual has devoted countless hours to practicing and perfecting his trombone technique and all four them have performed and toured together in the most prestigious ensembles at Wright State University, including the Wind Symphony, Trombone Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Community Orchestra. The best music often comes from those who are also good friends and the group's excellent style, absolute balance, and sophisticated sound can attest to that fact.
Every member of this quartet has been playing trombone for over half of his lifetime, and in addition to performing professionally with Brassroots, they are also educators and clinicians on trombone. The four formed Brassroots as a means though which musical possibilities could be explored, with hopes that others would enjoy the product. The quartet went public with its music in Fall 2001, in a grassroots movement to enhance and broaden chamber music in the Dayton Area.
