The Music
The Brassroots repertoire is constantly expanding. These four trombonists have trouble ignoring their creative sides and are constantly arranging or writing new pieces to perform. Their own work, however, is just part of their large selection of well-known and loved pieces.
Many of their selections include tunes that currently grace the "oldies" radio stations, like The Foundations' Build Me Up, Buttercup and The Beatles' Eleanor Rigby. Patriotic themes are among this quartet's favorites, namely America the Beautiful and the Civil War era Chester. No trombone quartet repertoire would be complete, though, without the Paul Severson trombone quartet standard, Mark's IV or Beethoven's Three Equali. Along with the small number of mentioned works here, many more of each genre are available.
Ceremonial and wedding music is also included, as well as several Christmas classics, Jazz, Dixieland, and Soul. As stated before, the trombonists are constantly writing and arranging music and the Brassroots repertoire is simultaneously growing. If you wish to inquire whether a certain piece is available or can be arranged, please do not hesitate to
